Leapmotor C10 Electric SUV – Honest POV, Features, Price and Full Review

Hello there! I hope you’re having a great day. I wanted to tell you about a pretty interesting electric SUV, the Leapmotor C10. I’ll write this in simple language, as if I’m chatting with a friend, and share my thoughts too. And yes—in our town, you’d expect the price to be around what it’s listed for in the UK but converted (more on that soon).

What is the Leapmotor C10?

So, the Leapmotor C10 is an electric SUV from the Chinese car company Leapmotor which has started selling in Europe and the UK. According to sources, it’s a mid-size crossover SUV with a 5-seat layout.
What I like: it tries to hit a good balance between tech, practicality and cost.

Price in our town (and what to expect)

In the UK, the C10 is priced from about £36,500 for the electric version.
In a promotional move, the price in the UK was reportedly reduced to around £32,750 via discounts.
Now, if we bring that to our town here in India (Patna/Bihar region), you have to add import duties, shipping, maybe local registration taxes, etc. So while it might “officially” be saying “from £36,500”, realistically in “our town”, maybe you’d see something like ₹ 40-50 lakhs (just ball-park assuming conversion, taxes). (This is my estimate based on the UK base price.)

So do you know it’s very special to see such value for a big EV SUV? I think yes.

Key specifications & what they mean

Let’s look at some specs and I’ll also share what I think they mean for you.

Battery & Range

  • The battery size is around 69.9 kWh (usable) in one of the electric versions.
  • Official WLTP combined range is about 263 miles (~424 km) for one version.
  • Real-world testing shows maybe around ~240 miles (~386 km) depending on driving style.
What this means: For daily use and moderate long trips, this kind of range is quite decent. If you drive from Patna to, say, Varanasi or somewhere farther, you might need a good charging network. But for most city + occasional trips, it works.

Performance

  • 0-62 mph (~0-100 km/h) in about 7.5 seconds for the basic electric version.
  • Top speed around 106 mph (~170 km/h) for one version.
What this means: It’s not a race car, but performance is solid for normal driving. You’ll have enough oomph for overtakes, highway runs.

Size & Practicality

  • Length: ~4,739 mm; width: ~1,900 mm; height: ~1,680 mm. Wheelbase ~2.83 m.
  • Boot space: Seats up ~370 L; seats down ~1,410 L for one version.
What this means: It’s a decent size SUV. Wide enough for family, friends; good luggage space for trip or even small relocation. In Indian roads/parking contexts, you’ll need mindful manoeuvering (because width ~1.9m is sizable).

Charging

  • It claims 30% to 80% charging in about 30 minutes in one version.
  • Max DC fast-charging rate is around 84 kW in certain tests (some say that’s a bit low).
What this means: Good for long trips but not class-leading fast. In India, charging infrastructure still developing, so you’d want to check how many compatible fast chargers are along your route.

Design & Features

Let’s shift to what you actually see and feel inside/outside, and what I found interesting.

Exterior

The Leapmotor C10 has clean, modern SUV styling. It doesn’t scream outrageously futuristic, but feels current and good value. The body size and proportions give it a presence.
What I like: The front looks friendly but firm; the overall silhouette gives a strong family-SUV vibe.
My view: For someone wanting a “big car” feel without paying luxury brand prices, this seems a smart pick.

Interior & tech

From the sources I found:

  • Large infotainment screen(s), modern dashboards.
  • Good space for five people, comfortable seating and plenty of head/leg room given the size.
  • Practical features: From boot size to seats folding (lots of versatility).
What I like: It feels like a car built to live in for daily use + weekend trips, not just for show.
My view: If local after-sales support and charging network is decent, this would be a smart “big family EV” choice.

Safety & build

I found mention that the Leapmotor C10 is built to global markets, aiming at Europe, etc.

What I don’t have: Full details of crash ratings in India (or local conditions).
My view: If you buy it in India, you should check what local importers provide in terms of service, warranty, spare parts. Because lesser-known brand here means you might have to do a little more homework.

My personal take (why I like it)

Friend, here are reasons why I personally think the Leapmotor C10 stands out:

  • Good value: For the size, range and tech you’re getting, the pricing (in UK terms) is attractive.
  • Practical size: Big enough for family and luggage; not so huge that you can’t park in city.
  • Electric future-ready: If you’re thinking of switching from petrol/diesel, this offers EV life.
  • The “new-kid-on-the-block” effect: It feels fresh. For someone who wants something different, this is interesting.

Also: Do you know it’s very special that a Chinese EV brand is entering the global market with serious tech and competitive pricing? That in itself is worth noting.

Some caveats (things to check)

No car is perfect, so let’s talk real talk:

  • Charging infrastructure: In your area (Patna/Bihar), how many fast chargers compatible with this are there? If few, long trip planning will matter.
  • Service network/spares: With a less common brand locally, ensure there’s a support network (dealerships, service centres).
  • Resale value: Given new brand, resale might be less predictable compared to established brands.
  • Import costs / taxes: The “in our town” price might jump up due to import duties, shipping, local taxes.
  • Features vs. expectations: Some specs (like charging rate 84 kW) are okay but not top tier; if you expect super fast charging, you may feel a bit limited.

Colours available for Leapmotor C10

From what I found, some of the colours mentioned include:

  • Canopy Grey
  • Pearly White
  • Glazed Green
  • Metallic Black
  • Tundra Grey
So you have a decent palette. My pick would be Pearly White or Glazed Green — they look good in sunlight and hide dust better (which matters here).

The verdict

Brother, if I had to sum up: the Leapmotor C10 is a very good option for someone who wants an electric SUV that doesn’t cost crazy amounts yet delivers solid size, range and features. It may not have the highest charging speed or the biggest brand name, but for the money it gives a lot.

If I were you, I’d say: Go for it if you check local support, infrastructure and total cost (import/taxes). If those are acceptable, this could be your next car and a smart step into EV life.
